On 20 October 2021, was held at the Conselh Generau d’Aran in Vielha, the second annual meeting – technical and administrative- of all the members of the LoupO Project (Interreg-POCTEFA). At the meeting, samples of hair and faeces were exchanged by the Spanish, Andorran and French members in the field during the year 2021 for the two genetic laboratories of the UAB and the CNRS to carry out the identification, metabarcoding and metagenomics analyzes of the samples. At the meeting, discussion also revolved around the joint database that has been created to monitor bear and wolf populations in the Pyrenees, as well as around the communication channels used to to disseminate the results of the LoupO project that will end in May 2022 .
